Mayor Terry Young
Interview conducted with Mayor Terry Young about his experience before, during, and after the Memorial Day flood of 1984. Young served as Mayor of Tulsa from 1984 to 1986. He had just assumed the post days before the Memorial Day flood. Young recounts flood mitigation efforts during his time as County Commissioner, his campaign for Mayor as related to flooding and stormwater, emergency response to the Memorial Day Flood of 1984, and plans put in place after that flood.
